DFI Announces the ES122-NP Low Power Consumption Embedded Computer for Digital Signage Applications

DFI, a leading provider of embedded x86 products, today announces the new ES122-NP embedded computer that features low power consumption and fanless cooling for digital signage applications. This cost-effective system is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and features dual independent display support using VGA and DVI graphics interface connectors.

The low-profile chassis is constructed of heavy duty steel with an extruded aluminum top cover providing silent passive cooling. A single 12VDC power input reduces power supply cost and complexity for both stationary AC powered applications and mobile battery powered applications.

The Intel GMA 950 graphics engine integrated into the processor delivers high quality graphics to fulfill a variety of applications with VGA and DVI interfaces supporting dual-independent displays. The ES122-NP embedded system uses the Intel 945GSE GMCH and ICH7M I/O Controller Hub and supports up to 2GB DDR2 400/533MHz memory, Intel® HD audio, one 2.5" SATA drive bay, two RS232 COM ports, and two Gigabit LAN ports that deliver high speed networking. This compact system offers expansion capability via an optional riser card providing one Mini PCI expansion slot for legacy card support and one Mini PCIe expansion slot for wireless adapters.

The low-power 12VDC embedded system is ideal for applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as digital signage, gaming, industrial control automation, POS and Kiosk, and medical equipment applications.
