The motherboard solution provided by DFI® for TekTone® nurse call systems is SB331-IPM. This compact microATX board supports Intel® Core™ 3rd/2nd processor and improved Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, which enables each processor core to handle two instruction threads and dynamically increase the clock speed when all cores are not fully utilized. This scalable desktop platform incorporates features making it ideal for the nurse call applications, including 3 Gigabit LAN ports that provides nurse call systems connections to the facility’s LAN, 2 PCIe x16 expansion slots (1 x16 and 1 x4 signal) for video capture cards, 2 PCIe x1 expansion slots, and 36-bit digital IO ports for device controls. It also provides 4 SATA 2.0 ports, 2 SATA 3.0 ports, 14 USB 2.0 ports, 2 Serial COM ports, and 1 front audio connector for line-out and mic-in jacks. The nurse call systems alert staff via display and speaker audio if a call station is activated, develops a problem,or leaves the coverage location.
