DFI, a leading provider of embedded x86 products, today announces a new embedded Mini-ITX motherboard, the CM100-C, which is powered by the Quad-core and Dual-core AMD®R-Series Accelerated Processing Units (APUs), including R-464L, R-460H, R-272F and R-268D, featuring 32-nanometer process technology with the cost-efficient AMD® A70M Fusion Controller Hub. These processors offer higher performance in visual computing and security.
The AMD® Radeon™ Dual Graphics technology integrated into this Mini-ITX platform delivers enhanced 3D graphics rendering performance. The CM100-C embedded motherboard comes with 1 HDMI and 2 DVI (DVI-D signal) interfaces providing 3 independent displays for rich media embedded applications, and it also supports 5.1-channel High Definition Audio with S/PDIF audio interface.
In the system memory, the CM100-C Mini-ITX form factor is designed with 2 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM sockets supported by DRAM device technologies for x8 and x16 devices to deliver the maximum performance up to 16GB at 1600MHz low voltage memory for faster communication between components. The 2 Intel® Gigabit LAN controllers integrate into the 1GB transceiver for increased transmission speed. The AMD® A70M Fusion Controller Hub used on this new Mini-ITX motherboard offers higher performance and flexible I/O. The integrated Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) controller supports 4 Serial ATA 3.0 ports with data transfer rate up to 6Gb/s, and XHCI Host Controller supports up to 4 super speed USB 3.0 ports. Besides, the CM100-C embedded motherboard is also packed with 6 USB 2.0 ports, 6 Serial COM ports, 1 front audio connector for line-in, line-out and mic-in jacks, and 8-bit digital I/O connector for device controls.
The expansion design of this platform offers 1 PCIe x16 interface, 2 DFI Proprietary Extension Bus via a riser card and 1 Mini PCIe interface with PCIe and USB signals supporting half-size Mini PCIe card for customers to apply additional expansion capabilities. The trusted platform module provides a trusted PC for secure transactions in software license protection, enforcement and password protection. The CM100-C platform also operates at the temperature range from 0°C to 60°C and the humidity range from 10% to 90% to make it suitable for various environments.
