DFI Responds to the "2022 Intel® DevCup" Accelerating the Implementation of Edge AI Applications

DFI (2397), the world's leading brand in embedded motherboards and industrial computers, has been dedicated to developing and integrating edge computing products in response to AI, industrial IoT, and 5G trends. DFI has been invited to participate in the "2022 Intel® DevCup" competition for two consecutive years. This year, by sponsoring Edge AI development kits, DFI supports Edge AI talents to show their skills in Taiwan.

The "2022 Intel® DevCup" combines the resources of academia, government, and industry. With the support and guidance of the Industrial Development Bureau and Ministry of Economic Affairs, the creative, practical competition with prizes up to millions of NTD invites edge AI professionals and amateurs in Taiwan to compete and hone their skills. It also invites partners in Taiwan's AI ecosystem, including DFI, to participate in the event. A total of 12 edge AI development kit companies responded to the event.

In this event, the miniaturized industrial fan-less system, EC70A-TGU sponsored by DFI, is equipped with 11th generation Intel® Core™ processors low-power SoC and new Xe architecture internal GPU. It not only possesses precise AI decision-making functions but also cares for performance and response capabilities. The system supports low latency, time-sensitive applications. It can execute real-time AI computing, determine travel trajectories, and avoid obstacles, fully enhancing the AI computing performance of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV).

DFI's three vertical target markets for this solution are factory automation, in-vehicle applications, and smart healthcare. DFI stated that while cultivating and satisfying the various needs of edge vision computing, we expect to provide the participating teams with complete consulting resources regarding AI applications and hardware technologies. We will work with Intel to foster talents needed to implement Edge AI applications and drive AI innovations! The deadline for product submission in the "2022 Intel® DevCup" competition is 23:59 on October 11, 2022.
