Rugged Edge AI Product Earns Taiwan Excellence Award for Industry Leadership

Taipei, Taiwan – DFI (TWSE:2397), a global leader in embedded motherboards and industrial computers, held its investor conference today (17th), announcing plans to strengthen manufacturing resilience with a 2026 capacity expansion initiative in Taiwan. General Manager Claire Tien stated that, in response to global supply chain challenges and the rapid expansion of the AIoT market, DFI is partnering closely with group resources and international manufacturing allies to build a more flexible and efficient supply chain network that supports the long-term development of smart manufacturing and edge computing applications.

DFI reported strong results for the third-quarter of 2025. Consolidated operating income for the first three quarters reached NT$568 million, up 50% year over year. Net income after tax also rose 50% to NT$385 million. Net income attributable to owners of the parent increased 30% to NT$283 million, while earnings per share (EPS) reached NT$2.48, representing 31% growth compared with the same period last year. The company continues to enhance its product mix and operational structure to reinforce profitability and maintain resilience amid evolving market conditions.

Tian noted that the growing adoption of artificial intelligence and edge computing has accelerated market demand for high-reliability, ruggedized industrial solutions. Throughout the year, DFI has advanced integration efforts with group partners and global manufacturing collaborators, focusing on key vertical markets such as smart manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, and defense technology. With AI platforms and modular architectures at the core, the company is accelerating the intelligent upgrade of industrial applications. DFI’s three core business units continued to contribute to the company’s overall momentum:

Embedded Business: DFI continues to expand its rugged and modular product portfolio. The ECX700-ADP rugged AI edge computer received the 34th Taiwan Excellence Award, highlighting the company’s technological leadership and brand strength in the rugged industrial computing sector.

Network Security Business: Third-quarter revenue saw a modest adjustment from the previous period, reflecting normalized demand following earlier front-loaded orders from European and U.S. customers due to tariff considerations. DFI will continue strengthening its product portfolio and expanding new applications to sustain growth momentum.

Automation Business: The company remains committed to supporting semiconductor-sector demand, enhancing packaging and stacker integration solutions, and advancing the deployment of machine vision and inspection applications.

DFI emphasized that industrial computers have become a foundational driver of global digitalization and intelligent transformation. Looking ahead to long-term AIoT market growth, the company will continue to strengthen supply chain resilience and local manufacturing capabilities, leveraging group resources and its global production footprint to establish a solid foundation for future cross-regional expansion.
