DFI Qseven Module Based on Intel® Atom™ Processor E3800 SoC Product Family Boosts Performance and Enhances Reliability

DFI® today launches the BT700 Series, a new Qseven module in its Intel® Atom™ processor-based product line. This new Qseven module is based on the low-power and cost-efficient next-generation Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family, which is specifically designed for today’s growing performance/wattage requirements of intelligent systems. This unique equipment delivers excellent computing, media, and graphical capabilities as well as a built-in security engine — all on a sub-10-watt system-on-chip (SoC) making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial designs.

 

The Qseven module is equipped with the Intel® HD Graphics accelerated graphics processing taking advantage of shared cache. BT700 Series is equipped with two display output interfaces, including 1 LVDS that supports 18-bit dual channel, and 1 DDI that supports DisplayPort 1.2. The DDR3L onboard delivers maximum performance up to 4GB at 1333/1066MHz for faster communication between components.

 

Based on the Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family, the BT700 Series Qseven module is designed with high performance and flexible I/O to provide increased computing and graphics performance, including High Definition Audio interface, 8-bit DIO interface for device controls, 1 Intel®Gigabit LAN controller integrated with up to 1GB transceiver in order to increase transmission speed for network-intensive applications, 1 USB 3.0 port, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 1 LPC interface, 1 SMBus interface, and 1 I2C interface. The Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) controller integrated into the BT700 Series supports 2 Serial ATA interfaces with speed rate up to 3Gb/s. The expansion design of this Qseven Module also offers 3 PCIe x1 for various requirements.

 

The BT700 Series, a new Qseven module combined with these features as described above, is an ideal product for a whole range of applications which require a stable revision-controlled platform, such as industrial control automation, digital signage, medical equipment, and kiosk embedded applications.
