DFI Is Meticulously Concerned About Customer's Needs To Assist The World's Leading Label and Packaging Solutions

Labeling and Packaging

Polypropylene film is a crucial technology for packaging or labeling solutions. It covers many daily consumer products and industrial applications. By thoroughly studying the customer's needs and providing the most suitable solutions in advance, DFI has assisted the global leader in the film industry, with a history of nearly 90 years, to obtain the most suitable control brain for their production equipment.

Region: United Kingdom

Industry: Polypropylene Film

Application: Labeling and Packaging

Solution: EC700-AL (E3940, 4GB DDR3L SO-DIMM memory, 128GB 2.5” SSD, Windows 10 pre-installed)

Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film

Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film often appears in small or large rolls of transparent plastic sheets used for packaging or labels. Its unique characteristics include shrinkage, transparency, and sealing. These characteristics make it so that it can be widely used for industrial, commercial, and household purposes. From stationery to snack food bags, it can be seen everywhere, and it has become an indispensable part of our daily lives.

A particular company is headquartered in the United Kingdom. And after 35 years of producing cellulose films, with the invention and rapid development of polymer films, it had become a significant manufacturer of highly differentiated notable biaxially oriented polypropylene films for tobacco packaging, labels, and safety film market along with the world-leading position and has established production bases worldwide. Its solutions cover many of the world's most well-known brands in daily consumer products, including household and personal care products, food and beverages, confectionery, tobacco, luxury goods, and industrial applications.

They use both bubbles blew, stenter, and cast manufacturing processes to produce films. They focused on high-quality, value-added products, strong customer relationships, strong R&D, high-quality services, and DFI to provide reliable brains for their precise production equipment.

EC700-AL

The original mini industrial computer system used by this customer, based on an Intel Celeron N2930 processor, is about to end its seven-year supply period, so it is necessary to find an alternative solution. The system integrator in the UK cooperated with DFI and provided an in-depth understanding of its requirement from analysis of its future necessities. Due to the expandability for the next generation of production equipment in the future, it is recommended that the customer's new platform must have at least four USB 2.0 ports, dual-screen output, and two Ethernet ports that the previous solution and its successor models lack. In the end, the customer chose DFI's EC700-AL as the control brain for the next generation of production machines.

The EC700-AL has many kinds of configurations. For example, in addition to supporting onboard memory and eMMC, it can also feature DDR3L SO-DIMM memory modules and 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 SSD, which can meet various application customers' needs. What's more, the price of  EC700-AL is affordable and reasonable, so many of DFI's customers use EC700-AL to build their applications.

Because this project has a target price to meet, DFI provides customers with the derivative model to install 4GB SO-DIMM and 128GB SSD and remove the onboard DDR3 memory and eMMC storage to reduce costs and assist in preloading the Windows 10 operating system. Once the product arrived at the system integrator, it can be shipped directly to the end customer's production line for deployment.

The reason why DFI was able to be chosen is nothing more than responding quickly to customers, asking customers what they want, emphasizing product features and advantages, providing more information than what the customers initially requested, and meeting customer needs and expectations, to finally establish a high degree of trust. DFI is meticulously concerned about customer needs, assisting customers to maintain its leading global label and packaging solutions, and making inconspicuous but indispensable contributions to human beings' daily lives.
